I love May’s inspiration quote in the Rule The World Planner (I mean honestly, I love them all). Debbie Millman has been a source of inspiration for me since the day I entered Design school. If you haven’t checked her out, be sure to check her out, read one of the numerous books she’s written, and definitely listen to her podcast, Design Matters. Don’t forget to start making mistakes & taking risks, if you’re interested in trying something new, start documenting it in a small way – start sharing! Ask people to join you on your journey and find a place where you can revisit where you started – I bet you’ll be amazing in a few weeks to go back and see what you’ve learned!
Better late than never! This month’s inspirational quote inside the Rule The World Planner is from Arianna Schioldager from Create and Cultivate. Create and Cultivate has built an amazing community, and this quote really spoke to me, so I handlettered it, and included it in the planner. I find myself often thinking that I’m not ready to release something, and spend hours more tinkering with it. When you allow yourself to release something early, before you’re ready, you get valuable feedback, and give your self an opportunity to GET SHIT DONE! Is there a project you’re working on that you keep putting on the back burner? What steps can you take to push that project forward? Can you release just a portion of it? Can you talk about it online? Sometimes even just talking about it online, makes you commit to it. March is a great time to reconnect, and revisit your goals, if you haven’t kept up with your resolutions, check back in with yourself, and get to work; it’s never too late. Goodluck and I can’t wait to see what you’re working on!
This month in the Rule The World Planner, I’ve included an inspirational quote from one of my favorite blogs, Lovely Indeed. Chelsea’s projects are so colorful and fun, and her quote is totally fitting! I’ve been craving more time away from the computer, and channeling my creativity in new ways, and Chelsea’s quote couldn’t come at a better time. “Make mistakes, make a mess, make something worthwhile”. Sometimes we get into such a routine, that we forget to make time to explore and experiment! I love art, and creating, but that can take so many forms! I’ve asked my girlfriends to do some craft nights with me, and I can’t wait to dive in! On my calendar this month is making pretty chocolate covered pretzels for Valentine’s Day (LOVE salty and sweet), glazing some ceramic bowls, and trying a few new classes at the gym. How about coloring? Grab the free printable below and tag your finished pieces on instagram! What creative projects do you have planned this month!?
