WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS : I like the responsibility; it’s like a non-stop, really heavy learning experience. All. The. Time. And I’ve grown to really relish in my failures and successes–keeps your brain and soul churning!
FAVORITE CANDY/TREAT : Gummy peach rings. OR French fries…does that count as a treat. French fries are my best friend.

TELL US HOW YOU GOT STARTED WITH YOUR COMPANY : I started off in pastry years ago, interning for a baking company in San Diego. I worked my way up from cutting breakfast breads to cake decorator. A good friend and co-worker turned me on to painting on cookies, which I kept up as a very active hobby. I made the jump to New York in 2012, and after juggling corporate America during the day with all-too-consistent cookie orders keeping me up through the night, I quit my 9 to 5 earlier this spring. I’ve hit the ground running as a one-woman-cookie-painting-
ANY ADVICE FOR FELLOW ENTREPRENEURS : Stay positive. And learn to step back and look at the big picture. Many of us, though always hustling, have food on the table and some semblance of a roof over our heads at night. The mere opportunity of entrepreneurship is in and of itself, a gift.
