I’m loving all of these arm parties! Arm candy is a great accessory to make any outfit – a great way to use a pop of color. What have you been obsessing over?

Last weekend I participated in Rochester’s first Dr Sketchy. If you haven’t haven’t heard about it, you can learn more here. My sister and I went, and spent the night laughing, and sketching. We both realized it’s been a while since we’ve done figure drawing, and enjoyed getting back at it. There were some really incredibly talented people there. Anti Art School – gotta love it!

In case you didn’t know, I’m obsessed with type, and I love hand lettering. I’m hoping to one day master it (any advice is appreciated!)

Here’s a great video about an amazing type piece!

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with Sheba, part Rottie and part Lab. Just look at that face!

My New Adventures

by ilanazatkowsky on February 23, 2012 · 0 comments

This entry is from http://poppytalk.blogspot.com/ but I just had to post it here. This idea is exactly what I’ve been trying to bring to Rochester. Not to mention the amazing work of Dollop Cupcakes and their win on Cupcake Wars this week!!!! (more on that later) If you’re interested in this endeavor, feel free to write me and help me bring an amazing store to the area.

The philosophy of London’s first cupcake shop is simple – “This is a ‘T’ shop. Please do not use the ‘C’ word”! Situated in the heart of the East End’s famous Columbia Road Market, Treacle is a welcome antidote from the sea of coffee-shop chains that seem to be popping up all over London. Celebrating classic British baking, Treacle offers a delicious selection of Victoria sponges, layer cakes such as the Jammy Dodger, seasonal treats and of course, cupcakes!

Part retail shop, part bakery; Treacle also carries a variety of gifts and accessories such as hand printed tea towels, cushions, kitchenware, and other baking accessories. If you are anything like me, you will fall head over heels in love with their vintage wooden kitchen larder and haberdashery display they use for their cupcakes! Lovers of sweet things, sprinkles, tea and cake will fall in love!
