I’ve always been passionate about our furry friends, and we’re excited for this opportunity to help a place near and dear to our hearts, Verona Street Animal Society. Each bandana features a hand-lettered design and is screen printed locally. The typography and bold colors create a playful accessory for your best friend!
Sugar & Type Communications Ninja, Claire, fell in ruv with her pup, Blue, at Verona Street, and he’s the perfect addition to her life. Since Claire and Blue are a big part of my life, and my decision to give back, I wanted to share their ruv story here.
“When I saw Blue’s picture posted online, I was immediately hooked. When I went to see him that day at the shelter, I sat down on the floor in the visitation room and he leapt into my lap, wiggling around and kissing my face. I stood up and walked out telling him I was taking him home. And home we went. Since that day, he’s been my best friend – he’s been through a big break up, moving out on our own, a long year in a little apartment saving up for a house and eventually moving into a house (he LOVES his big back yard) with me. He looks at me with his big brown eyes and block head and I melt. I’ve done my best to give him the best life I can. A little over a year after I adopted Blue, I started volunteering at VSAS hoping to help out the other animals who needed it. I’s been incredibly rewarding – giving the animals a little time out of their kennels or crates – time to just be animals and seeing their true personalities come out. While I can’t bring them all home, volunteering my time is what I can give. By purchasing a bandana, you will help supply items for the spay/neuter clinic or items for the animals while they are at VSAS awaiting their forever home.”
Be sure to use your bandana wisely – take it off when your dog is playing at the park, and share pictures with us @sugarandtype and using #sugarandtypeshop.
